Uterine Fibroid: Part 1- Food to avoid if you are suffering from Uterine Fibroid
You can have uterine fibroid if you are suffering from:
1) Heavy menstrual bleeding:
How do you know if you have heavy bleeding?
If you need to change your pad within less than
2 hours or you pass a blood clot too frequently or
if you have heavy flow for more than
7 days, that is heavy bleeding
2) Constant pain or pressure in abdomen:
Pain in abdomen can be due to various reasons but
in the uterine fibroid you may have pain in
lower abdomen in pelvic region. You feel like
pressure on bladder if the fibroid is big.
3) Frequent urination :
if your uterine fibroid is big as I said before,
it will cause pressure on your bladder leading to
frequent urination. (Or if you have urinary tract infection,
then also it may lead to frequent urination.)
4) Lower back pain :
Fibroid can cause pressure on your
lower back muscles and nerve leading to
lower back pain. A large fibroid on the
back surface of uterus is more likely to
cause back pain.
5) Pain during intercourse:
Large fibroid in uterus and lower end of
uterus near cervix can cause pain and
discomfort during intercourse.
What is fibroid?
Fibroid are non-cancerous growth from the
wall of your uterus. There can be
one or multiple fibroids, and size can be
small or big.
Today we will discuss which
food to avoid if you are suffering from
uterine fibroid so that it can help you in your treatment.
Food to avoid in Uterine Fibroid are:
- Egg
- Dairy &
- meat
why to avoid these foods?
- Hormone- oestrogen feeds your fibroids
- Which is why your fibroids vanish with menopause
when your oestrogen level reduces.
- The synthetic oestrogen is routinely fed/injected to
the animals that are grown for the market.
- Thus, when you consume these dairy, egg or meat products,
you get a dose of synthetic oestrogen which is
even more damaging for your fibroid.
You should also avoid sugar, white flour, alcohol,
caffeine, and cigarettes, all of which
stress your body and delay the process of healing.
That’s all for today
Next Tuesday we will discuss about the food that helps you in your uterine fibroids.
Till then….
Take care.
