Are you suffering from Acidity too frequently?

today we will discuss about ACIDITY.

You must read this blog completely if you are suffering from-

These are the symptoms of Acidity.

Please don’t get confused between ACIDITY & ACID REFLUX.

We have already covered acid reflux in a previous tip.

Acid reflux takes place when your stomach acid rises up

out of your stomach into your food pipe known as esophagus.

In contrast, Acidity is simply restricted to your stomach, also known as GASTRITIS.

Chances are,

that just like majority of the patients suffering from acidity,

you are also not giving any serious thought to your Acidity.

  • Either you ignore it, or…
  • You take antacids for relief from your acidity.

Let us understand,

what happens if you have been suffering from Acidity from long time and

you are still ignoring it….

Uncontrolled acidity may lead to serious complications like:

  • Hemorrhage
  • Gastric perforation
  • Anemia
  • Malnutrition

On the other hand, if you are taking antacids for long time,

  • You will be having less acid available in your stomach which will affect your protein digestion
  • Antacids can inhibit the absorption of phosphorus.


If your acidity is very occasional, taking antacid will solve the issue

But, if you really want to solve this problem on permanent bases,

you need to take some solid steps

that goes beyond just taking a pill of antacids

  • Avoid everything that will increase the inflammation of your stomach wall such as-
  • Regularly taken pain killers such as NSAIDs, aerated drinks like colas, alcohol, smoking etc.
  • Practice yoga and pranayama regularly to control your stress
  • If you are living a sedentary life, start exercising regularly from today onwards

While allopathy is wonderful for controlling your acute problems of Acidity,

It has very limited role to eliminate the root cause of your acidity.

So, for your chronic acidity,

  • Curd (Dahi)
  • Lassi
  • Yogurt
  • Buttermilk (Chhas)

Water– when you take adequate amount of water, it keeps your digestive system clean.

Antacids are good for immediate relief of Acidity.
